I find people endlessly fascinating. Family or individual portraiture is all about us working to capture something of who you are. A client wrote: I love the way you capture people ...the way you can see a stranger and make them smile or simply relax. Then there is the way you capture those personal exchanges, with all of the emotion present in that moment. Portraiture II For me, portraiture is about giving people the gift of the beauty I find in them. That is always my intention. A client wrote: I appreciate the fact that you make minimal alterations to your images, that you want the real beauty of a person to show ... not an idealized version. I always go back to that one particular image, the one where you saw a stunning man and captured all of the power and beauty you found in him. A magazine would insist on the perfection found in post-production editing. Documentary Documentary photography potentially comes closest to describing my overall style. Documenting lives, events, places ... capturing the often unseen moments that create the daily reality of ourselves and our lives. I prefer to work as invisibily as possible, especially when working on an event. This is what my photography and I are all about. Art prints for sale I Travel and photography are, without doubt, my raison d’ętre. I have been wandering since I since I was strong enough to climb the wooden gate back home, graduating to a tricycle, a bicycle, a car and then flight ... all the way round the world to today. Somebody once described me as a person who feels so much and wants to take it all in. I think they're right. I'm in love with life and with the things I find out there. Travel photography is the physical evidence of the effect the world has on me. Art prints for sale II As a wanderer since forever, I know that travel is about slipping in the backdoor of other cultures, and on in under the skin of each new place I visit. I love making that attempt to capture what I find there, how it makes me feel, and what I love most. Being engaged in this kind of exploration makes my heart sing.
