ABOUT ME

I try to make contact with the subject, bridge the gap between us.
Hans Kemp, photographer

I’m an expat turned immigrant. A New Zealander, a professional photographer based in Belgium, a woman who has been on the move for more than 20 years.

I’ve been a photographer forever and an observer even longer. I’m a person who is curious about everything.

My passion is photography.

I love the way it allows me to communicate with people. I love how the world appears through a viewfinder and I love the places that view has taken me.

For me, photography is about having fun. It’s about trust and about capturing the fleeting or the hidden moment.

It’s about being ready to press the shutter and capture things that no one expected you to catch or that no one else saw.

It’s about finding new ways to see and understand the world and the people in it.
